Washington/Oregon

So are any of us contacting stores to see if they will host a launch day event? I’ve asked Funagain games here in Eugene already and they sounded potentially interested if enough people called and asked. So Eugene people get on that!

Otherwise I was thinking
Evolution Gaming (Eugene)
Guardian games (Corvallis/portland)
Dice age games (Vancouver)

Are their stores worth contacting in Salem?

I talked with Docking Bay in Mt Vernon about it and pointed out the GTM article about it. I don't know what they are willing to do yet. I told them that I'd at least help run events and pay for a part of any event or demo product. They do have some used Heroscape there, but it is just a bunch of stuff tossed in a clear tub. There was a lot of stuff stacked on top of it, so I don't really know what all is in it.

Did you send them the retail link?

No, I didn't even have it at the time. They bookmarked the article and took down some of my info. Unless the retail link is in the article

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but are there any players in the Spokane area? Curious to see how far from other players I am.

I just realized that I hadn't extended my invitation to Tuesday night game nights to any other Heroscapers besides Goomonkey. This probably isn't worth it to anyone who doesn't live in Skagit or Whatcom counties though. Unless you happen to be passing through on a Tuesday night.

This isn't specifically Heroscape. In fact, unless I specifically schedule a Heroscape event, it likely won't be Heroscape. I have at least 60 different games in my collection and it would usually be one of those. However I do love setting up a hexagon shaped map that can be played by 2,3,4, or 6 players, usually with teams and objectives.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I'll let you know more, such as exact location. My place is also easily accessed by bus including even the transfer busses from Everett and Bellingham. So if you don't have a ride and are able to get here by bus, I can make sure that you get a ride home. I have a nice car that gets good mileage so I don't mind driving someone home even if it's outside of Skagit county.

I am meeting with the powers from Battle Ground (south WA) next weekend. Maybe we will get a date selected for this spring then. Stay tuned. It has been a bit since we have rolled dice together. Next Everett (North WA) event won't be until early summer.

I was going to try to get a 420 point tournament on April 20th (maybe for ages 18 and up only?) But discovered that some people are celebrating a different holiday that day this year, so maybe not.

I did meet some other people that play semi-regularly at a game store on Bellingham on Thursdays and joined their discord, but that venue is limited in space to 2 or 3 maps.

Cool to see a handful of nicknames I vaguely remember! Played with @obfuscatedhippo and probably others here a time or two back in 2017 it looks like. Got to bust out my 'scape recently for the first time in years with a few friends and it was a blast! Unfortunately it will probably be a while before that happens again, but I'll take what I can get. Hope you are all doing well!

Huzzah! Glad you cracked into the game again and rolled some dice! I like the map, too. Nomad has been able to keep the events going up north in Everett (every 3 months or so), so keep an eye out for organized play. We've collected the new releases and done some playtesting. More expensive to collect than 10 years ago - but at least there is new 'Scape hitting the shelves.
