@Ulysses, previously when I visited your thread, I could see your amazing photographs of your maps in the OP. But now, when I open the 'spoiler', I'm presented with merely a list of your maps's links — no pics. :(

I had a few fellow scapers try and they are seeing the images. They do sometimes load slowly depending on your connection since they are larger files than VS screen shots. Maybe give it another go and wait on the page a while? Hope it works and thanks for dropping in!

Was looking over this and noticed that the level 4 hexes hexes aren’t even on each side. The big ruin side uses the rock single hex on level 3 to the side of the level 4 single hex instead of creating the 3-hex on level 4.

My only suggestion then would be to turn the 3-hex towards the grass a space so that two of its three spaces are adjacent to the grass. That would allow double spacer to engage the glyphs on high ground and make it so that half of the level 4 spaces are reachable from the SZ in 2 turns (5-move).

This one seems solid but damn, Tundra maps just seem to annoy double spacers with all of those 1/2-hexes that have no great uses other than adding spotty height.

Those single- and double hexers are FANTASTIC for use in the substructure to prop up other tiles. :D

It does use two small ruins and it employs double stacked water tiles as supports, so go easy on me :p The name is a little shout out to two of the great hex-footprint map makers who've blazed the path before me. Just seeing this! And I'm honored - thanks for the nod! It looks really solid - hopefully I'll get to try it out soon, but I've got another one of yours that's a little more pressing to play some games on. :D

Here's my Hot Takes:

Breeding Grounds - so creepy...friggin' LOVE it. Easily gunna be a staple multiplayer map.

Frost Heave - sorry, but this is a nope for me :shrug: too chokey

Moor or Loes - Love the name, map looks good. Left feels a bit hard to develop out of though?

Are you Afraid of the Underdark? - Easily my favorite aesthetically looking map in a long time (just hope it also plays good). LOVE. THIS. Please more. I want to build now and try it out.

Snowmeostasis - this map makes me want to curl up in a cozy blanket. It's the "comfort food" of maps. Everything feels "in place", simple and intentional.

Breeding Grounds looks like an awesome 2v2 map! I would love to see a version of it that's reworked a little to work as a 4-way FFA map.

I also really like Sniper at the Gates of Dawn and Are You Afraid of the Underdark, though I feel uneasy about putting the latter in a tourney pool with so much high ground right outside the start zone.

Thanks for the feedback SH! I opened up Frost Heave's center quite a bit, I think it should help, though I may keep tinkering. I use the Hive base in the SZ for Moor or Loess and I've tried to achieve a counterbalance by giving that side faster access to height than the lvl 1 SZ side. The goal was to have turn 1 and 2 development end up fairly even out of either side, but I'll look closer. I've made a few updates to AYAotU, hope you haven't built it yet :D Love the way you put it for Snowmeostasis, comfort food and a cozy blanket sound pretty nice in the Tundra!

Thank you so much! I'm glad the Floyd reference didn't go unnoticed. It's not as obvious as something like Dark Side of the Moon Tribe :p

Thanks Caps! BG would be fun as 4-way, I'll have to tinker with that. I certainly agree about Are You Afraid of the Underdark. As I tend to do, the map was originally made for a specific game night (3v3 with newer players, small armies) and since been somewhat smoothed out for more general play. I hadn't been thinking of it as a tourney map necessarily, but will try to get it dialed in better because I do love the aesthetics.
