The BOOKS of Heroscape INDEX

Poor Sam Brown.

I never really considered how much of a grey area he's in. He's been both released in card form and unreleased in figure form. Maybe we need a subforum for "Released but also Unreleased Units" to put him in. /s

I know Guru mentioned this, but I want folks to know that Sam is completely official. He is approved and tested and was design back before D&D Heroscape came out. He was one of our favorites and seeing him arrive like this really makes me feel good.

He is 100% official and "released", just consider him equally rare as "One Ring" Magic card with one lucky person having the prototype figure as lucky as Post Malone.

I've taken the liberty to create the five books for the new Kyrie set, as they were not revealed beyond concept art during the Haslab campaign and did not have existing books to be updated and moved like the other 3 units covered in the June 2024 Renegade Con livestreams.

Glinerva
Queen Qhyrion
Kilkorax
Xiamara
Mielki

These other three units' books need promoting from the AoA board to the main Official Units section alongside updates with the release version information (bios, text changes, official card, etc.)
Iron Lich Viscerot
Necrotech Wraithriders
Cornelius Breech, the man formerly known as the Blackguard Prince

I have uploaded the official Advanced side of their army cards to the Heroscapers gallery for whomever does that updating.

Naturally there are a number of synergies sections on old books, namely regarding Xiamara's amulet ability affecting the Ullar Kyrie, Saylind, the Protectors, and Atlaga (who also grants +move to four of these new units), any units that affect Undead for Kilkorax (I think just Zombies and Ana Karithon?), and Otonoshi/Agent Skahen because Queen Qhyrion is Tricky.

I've updated some of the book lists to include Ren scape. I think it'd be good to have three types of lists, one for classic, ren only and one with everything included.

Can you change the names to match the cards, like for Xenithrax, Cornelius, Raakchott, and any others I missed?

Updated, nice catch! I was just grabbing the names from OEA0 post above, and didn't realize they modified some names.

I am working my way through Book updates for all of the AoA units revealed so far. When I am finished, I will be updating the indexes here. Does anybody know of an ETA on the update to the character limit on posts, if there is to be one at all?

If not, I will find a formatting solution that allows us to present everything concisely.

I plan to have all of these updates completed before the next Renegade Con reveals in late February.

I am very happy to report that the Books of Heroscape Index is now FULLY UP TO DATE!

Here is a rundown of the updates:
  • All currently released and revealed Age of Annihilation units have had their Books moved to this forum. They now all have proper formatting, release information, Master and Basic Army Cards (available in the Site Gallery), official bios (except Major Q11, whose bio isn't yet out), and synergies updated to the best of my knowledge.

  • All AoA units have been properly indexed in all six listings in this thread. Responding to the ask for Renegade units to be listed separately, The Books of Age of Annihilation INDEX will be the place for those listings. The alphabetical and point cost listings have been updated and migrated to that thread.

  • A new listing of units by type (common squad, etc.) has been added. Some of this information was previously available in the Point Cost listing.

  • The OP has been split from two posts to three. It looks like we can have two indexes per post without going over the 65,000 character limit.

  • I have adjusted the OP to put thanks and historical notes at the bottom, so the primary unit indexes are more readily visible. I added a title line and one-liner about what the Books are, and added a list of primary editors at the end of the post.

Thank you to everyone who has contributing in sharing links, posting about synergies, fidgeting site permissions so I could contribute, and more. I've probably missed plenty, be it a typo, mis-listing, or missed synergy. As always, if you notice anything, post in the appropriate book and I will update it as I notice.

When new units are revealed in February, I intend to continue the work creating and updating new Books.
