The C3V Rules Team would like to include the following R&C:
Q: Can a Makwa Tribesman attack the Fortress Door with the extra attack from Hunt of the Makwa?
A: Yes.

Just to make sure I understand, MRT says that it has to be a Unique Tribesman Hero to take a turn. We are treating "uncommon" as unique in this sense? Just want to run them correctly, because they are not unique.

As per the rulebook, Uncommon are treated as Uniques for powers. So anything that can affect a Unique Hero can also affect an Uncommon Hero.

The "before removing the figure" wording in Shield of the Great Bear. Seems as if it could imply this ability activates only when the figure would be destroyed. Is this intended, or does the ability trigger when any wound would be received?

The ability triggers when any wound would be received. In the case where that wound is enough to kill Makwa Tribesman, the power wants to make sure one knows that the timing of the power is "before the figure is removed."

By comparison, other powers that only trigger when the figure is destroyed, say something like "if _____ receives enough wounds to be destroyed".

Like Acolarh's Leaf of the Home Tree Aura special power
Or Axentia's Phoenix Rising special power.

Question about Hunt Of The Makwa... The figure that's chosen within 3 clear sight spaces must also be within the Tribesman's range of 6 right?

Yes, the figure targeted for the additional attack must be within 6 clear sight spaces of the Makwa Tribesman and within 3 clear sight spaces of a Hunter you control.

It's water under the bridge now, but that portion seems more confusing than helpful. Acolarh's wording is the way it is because it's focused on avoiding death, rather than wounds. Brave Arrow's Concealment 10 for example only focuses on the wounds. If you ignore the wounds, it's implied you don't die.

"When this Makwa Tribesman receives one or more wounds, you [may/must] roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 14 or higher, ignore any wounds this Makwa Tribesman just received."
