Are we going to get compiled history of drafts posted here? I really enjoyed looking at those last year. I have mine from my R16 game (I posted it on my old battle report thread, too).

Below is a breakdown of the draft order and armies played for the 2024 ScapeCon Championship.

The majority of the pools are in the correct order. There were a couple where the order may be a little off.

For what it's worth, I drafted Tagawa Samurai Archers with my second pick in the second round of the Death Knight pool after my dad did some scouting and told me that they went 3-0 in the first round. Would not have made that pick otherwise. They were drafted in both games in the second round and won both of those games too. I think they're really solid in that pool, despite the variety of counters, just because they have long range and can define the battle.

I had slept on them for sure. I think they were particularly effective with Rae AoA, to pull the enemy into her aura, plus the map was nice for them too (specifically the two level 4 single hex dungeon perches). Caps took them against me (I had Rae AoA at least), but I was so preoccupied with trying to get quality attacks on the Minions, he was able to feed the TSA 1-2 OMs per round and just keep plucking away at me.

When you can grab height, having 6 range is good.

Counter strike is sneaky good in that pool too. Minions and DKs should be fine but can get punished very hard for it.

~Dysole, who despite not playing thought these draft pools were really fun based on all the mock drafts she did with dok

I dunno I feel like Tagawas were not the deciding factor but more everyone falling in the DK trap, turns out that even when they are the only bonding squad in the pool, even when they are the only x3 squad in the pool, and even when soul weapons counters 2 defensive powers, they still megashit.
