Thank you all for a very successful year of ScapeCon! It was great seeing old friends and making some new ones.
ScapeCon III
ScapeCon III was the best one yet. Despite having 11 more people than ScapeCon II, it ran smoother than ever.
Thanks to:
--Master Roshi, Trivia Knight, Boromir, Loki, Orange Mailman, Gingerkid, Chelswah, Vegie, MegaSilver, and Trexy for their very generous donations to the prize table;
--Trexy for creating amazing trophies and order markers yet again;
--Vydar, Megasilver, and superfrog for their help with the beautiful alternate art cards;
--Breanna and Vydar for running the prize table;
--Chris Perkins, vegie, Major Q23, and infectedsloth for their help with events;
--Garenex, Dragon Ruler, Earl of Sandwich, JohnnyFrisbee, and GucciiBoost for their help testing the ScapeCon draft pools;
--Matthias for helping to create the ScapeCon draft pools;
--Earl, Johnny, and GucciiBoost for their incredible help in most aspects of the events (from specific events to the overall schedule);
--Retlaw for storing and preparing the terrain;
--Matthias, Breanna, and Retlaw for being amazing TOs;
--Chris Perkins for creating the masterpiece that is the .org site;
--Dragon Ruler for handling any and all issues that arise with the hotel; and
--all of you for attending!
ScapeCon East
ScapeCon East ended up being a great event. It was smaller and more casual than ScapeCon Indy; it felt a lot closer to a local tournament. Thanks to Dragon Ruler, Chris Perkins, Breanna, Earl, Johnny, and GucciiBoost for their help in putting this one on.
ScapeCon in 2024
If you attended either of these events (or ScapeCon I or II), you may signup for ScapeCon IV now here: https://heroscape.org/convention/?Convention=6. The official thread for it can be found here: https://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=63126.
We're interested in running ScapeCon East again, but we cannot commit to it yet. If we run it again, we will probably run it the same weekend; this seemed to work well for most people. (We also don't have immediate plans to expand the ScapeCon brand beyond these two events.)
What a great year of Scape. I can't wait to do it all again next year!
Mike
