I’d like to work on one so as a community we can have a Master guide to share with everyone to make the game more accessible to new players. I’ll start on this project and if you know a yo e that would like to help have them reach out to me otherwise I will find others to help.

Put the Advanced FAQ in there as well, perhaps at the back? It answers some more common situations that the rules don't explicitly have a stance on and corrects some errors.

The advanced FAQ (linked in OP of this thread) has almost all this, as mostly the Books are just quoting from the FAQ rulings. There have been a few new rulings in the last ~7 years since the FAQ was last updated but is probably less than 20 new rulings, mostly for stuff that never happens in tournament setting and is more “hypothetical” or more likely in home games.

I know OEAO is putting together an advanced FAQ sheet for all rules questions. Does not include all rules but having all the FAQ, etc of cards and the like all in one place is great.

Thanks DS! I've been pretty busy during May, but should have more free time in the next couple of weeks for finishing up the VC units. After that, I might start looking into creating a proper user interface for folks to create the same assembly instructions that I create on my site for battlefields/scenarios. Might even look into WebGL for 3D renderings. No promises yet, but if Renegade shows no interest in software support for battlefields/scenarios...

I know OEAO is putting together an advanced FAQ sheet for all rules questions. Does not include all rules but having all the FAQ, etc of cards and the like all in one place is great.

FAQ errata has been worked into my Special Powers and Hitzones tables. (I suppose I should do proper footnoting where this occurs anywhere on my site.) I would be interested in someone compiling all the questions that have been clarified since the FAQ was last updated.

Yeah, it's the most extensive HeroScape rulings document. It encompasses all important FAQ questions, all important Book clarifications, and even some previously unanswered questions. It also provides accurate rationale for rulings where applicable (unlike several FAQ entries that have clearly erroneous explanations). I've verified any questions I've had regarding any of it with other head judges.

However, it's worth noting that the master game rules (and terrain expansion rules) are outside its scope.

I'm hoping to release it within the next two months or so.

And here he is! If someone really wanted to it would be very easy to just slap the master game and terrain rules in front. You're doing all the real heavy lifting

Thank you so much for doing this! It's always discouraging to see dead links. Went ahead and backed up all the links in there onto archive.org, so anyone who sees this in another 15 years will hopefully still be able to grab them even if the site ever went down lol.
