Is this project still supported? I'm getting back into C3G and I'd love to print off a full up-to-date set of these cards.

Just as a heads up Schulzy, C3G has edited a lot of wording recently. Nothing game breaking but I doubt mathguy will go back for all the changes.
Some designs have been reevaluated and changed, I believe Puppet Master was the first, and those you would really want an updated card.

Wow, how time flies. Sorry for my absence. I did a big move from Chicago to Hawaii and have not played any Heroscape for almost a year. It looks like I'm behind two waves and a bunch of exclusives. I do plan on catching up next week, when I'll have a Heroscape game again. I plan on catching up on Heroscape (C3G, C3V, HoSS) in the next month. :)

Glad to see this getting updated! :) My goal is, once I have full-time work again, to move over to the rectangular cards and do a fully updated print run (lots of small updates have occurred as well here and there).

Yeah. At some point I want to start going through and noting the various 'minor updates'.
I went rectangle long ago and am loving every minute of it. :)

You would rather live in Hawaii than Chicago !? :)

It's nice to know there are Heroscape players way out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Wow, that pic is a blast from the past. Indeed how time flies. That was a fun game with so many gladiatrons and blastatrons.

My Heroscape games last month included a HeroSkype game with some friends on the east coast. We described moves using direction numbers 1-6. And for squads, we used descriptive names such as "The lizard holding a cricket bat" or "The viper in the shape of cylindrical coordinates z=theta, r=1". LoL.

Anyways, I started working on catching up with on all rectangular cards today. (HoSS, C3V, C3G). It'll probably take me a few days to finish.

Have you ever tried the online Heroscape?

It works very well and even supports C3G. The board is in 2D but still very cool.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm currently working on catching up.
Is there (or could you make) a list of cards that "must" be updated because of power changes? The last cards I updated were December 2013. And right now, I just don't have time to do the whole list of updates I see in the updates post.

ALternatively, if someone wants to help me make updates... (It would just involve editing text in a huge word document (148MB).)

I would have some time this weekend. Might not be able to get it all done at once, but within the next couple of weeks. (My wife is finishing graduate school, so I have random big blocks of time when she is working on projects).

Let me know. Thank you mathguy for keeping this project going!

You can help update all the cards that were originally released up to Sept 2014. (I'm still working on those from Oct 2014 to now. And I'm travelling these 3 weeks too.)
I will PM you instructions on where to get the files etc.

Here is a link to a list of all updates and when. A lot of this stuff is just standardize wording for powers. Not high priority but a nice update to have on the cards. This is on going and I think the overhaul should be mostly complete by the end of the year.


I will get you the links to all the figures that have been reevaluated. These would be the highest priority for updated cards.

Several of them are pretty low priority I'd say such as the Stealth Leap figures all getting a minor change to eliminate the number in the power text to be more standard and other such as Expert Climbing and Healing Factor X figures are only a clarification for the Rules Lawyers to close loopholes. The reevaluated figures that Tornado listed above should be the main priority as they are true changes and sometimes even cost.

A friend got me three decks worth of these back in the day and I have been meaning to do a massive update but have been holding off due to all the changes.

Thanks for the list.
I am hoping my new deputy helper will eventually make all the updates.
I will make the 9 cards listed above as a priority, unless my helper gets to them first.
I'll be working a little bit each day; can't wait to be caught up.

Nine down and three(at least for now) to go.
It has not been a fun process but I think a needed one.
I have to commend TB for championing this and the whole group as it is a lot to ask to go back and re-cost and re-tweak a design.
The Competitive Review Board has been invaluable and helping to insure these updates will not be needed in the future.

I will try to remember to post any important updates here for reference.

When we get some full-time work in the household again, getting a full set of these is a priority for me. Most of my hex ones need to be reprinted for updates anyway, so I figure I might as well switch over. :p

I have not tried Heroscape online.
It does sound cool.
We definitely had fun doing Hero-skype. It was almost like the opponents were there in person.

Thanks to Sporx, the updates/changes that happened between September 2013 and now have all been updated. All 11 pages worth of cards. He also updated any glyphs or destructible objects. He also spotted a few typos or image errors that now have been fixed. See the first post. Enjoy.

I am slowly working on Wave 23. I'll be traveling tomorrow from Europe back to the States.
