Possible Army Idea

Is this a good 500pt. army?

4th Mass. x2 140
Minions x2 220
Krug 120
Marcu 20

Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, Housemouse has wave 7 for $52 including shipping, and I don't have any of the figs, is it worth it? Thank you, ~BigBluu

Not bad, but in a non-Valiant army you might consider switching Marcu for Isamu and the 4th for the 10th. You make your soldiers more effective for a mere 10 points. And the downgrade from Marcu to Isamu is pretty small (if it even exists).

~Aldin, who really hates facing Krug in points counting tournaments because he almost always breaks something I don't want broken

May I suggest:

10th Foot x2 150
Minions x2 220
Krug 120
Isamu 10

Damnit Aldin! Didn't notice you already posted the same army. You win this time! *Blasts off in rocket* :p

Nah. The Templars are a pass, and you need multiples of the Ashigaru pack along with Kato Katsuro for them to be fully effective. Having both the 4th Mass and the Ashigaru is kind of redundant. The hero pack with Iskra and the Rechets (Spelling?) is a pass. But I definately recommend the hero pack with Cyprien and Isamu in it. Isamu is one of the most convenient figures in the whole game, and Cyprien is a good hero.

If you want the Wave 7 collection, Wargammers has it for 39.99. I'd go there instead.[/quote]

I'm sure this response was expected by anyone who knows me that read this thread, but in this case, you might want to seriously think about swapping Krug for Runa. She takes some more finesse to play than Krug does, but you get to utilize Utgar's Orders with the Minions, and the Minions are already good enough at killing heroes - I don't think you need Krug as well. I would also suggest the 10th Foot sub if you have them. If not, Major Q10 wouldn't be terrible either.

The army is good on the basis that you have a good mix of range and melee power; however, the veteran scapers (of which I would not count myself as one) would tell you that army qualities like bonding, special attacks, and high numbers of commons would often outweigh a balanced army (that can make itself susceptable for instance to two rounds of Braxas attacks -- those minions would be so gone!). Please feel free to correct my theoryscape if any of you feel I am wrong.

Personally, I would go with (and I know you may not have the figs for it):

Minions x 2 220
Krug 120
Arrow Gruts x 4 160

Bonding and sheer numbers.

or

Minions x 2 220
Zelrig 185
Raelin (old skool) 80
Isamu 10

Special attacks and high defense.

You can still lose the minions to braxas, but you'd have more of an army left if you did.

I have another army for you. This one uses KC's Runa book as a base strategy:

Runa 120
Minions x2 220
AE 110
Marro Warriors 50

As for the other ideas, They're great, but I don't have Arrow Gruts or the 10th, so I used what I had. I have a couple more armies(all-valiant and a Tor-Kul-Na/Nagrubs army), but I'll post them later.

I also realized this is an option...(I have all of them except Isamu)

Minions 220
MAJOR Q9 180
Raelin 80
Isamu 10

TOTAL: 490
