Date: October 8, 2016
Place: Game Haven (9860 S. 700 E. Sandy, UT)
Time: Setup at 11 AM, First round starts at 11:30
Cost: Two Things:
Bring a can (or more) of food! I'd like to have a small food drive to donate to a local pantry! (Local partner of Utah Food Bank)
- AND/OR -
$5 - This will be put into a pot for store credit to be used as a prize.
Ideally we would like to see a can and the 5$ as much as possible. However, we won't turn anyone away, and will let you decide. Our first priority is helping you have a great time, and after that comes hoping you'll all help out as much as your situation allows!
Format: 475 Point Armies, 16 Figure Limit. (*No starting hex limit, only a figure limit. If you use a lot of double-spaced figures you may go over the standard 24-hex limit. So, for example, if you want to run Marrden Hounds x5 (15 figures, 30 spaces), extra hexes will be added to the start zone to allow room for them.)
Reverse-the-Whip (Every other game, you will play your opponent's army.)
4-Round Swiss System thingy, 45-minute rounds. Games that go to time will be determined by Traditional (Full Card) Scoring.
Classic only - No Marvel, No Customs
Maps:
Prizes: Special Prize Support from Dad_Scaper, Xorlof, CVN and friends!!
Picture:
Special Lucky Prize - Given to whoever has the most D20 powers in their army (duplicate powers not counted, so running Microcorp Agents x3 only counts for one)
Special Hulkiest Prize - Given to whoever has the most Unique Heroes whose base Attack is or can be 6 or higher (only by counting its attack and powers on its card - other potential bonuses will be ignored)
Money from entrance fees will be given out as prizes as well.
Feel free to bring an item for the prize pile! (Not required.)
Additional materials (pre-made armies, order markers, dice, etc.) will be provided for those lacking/forgetful (we've all been there ). Also, if there is anything you need/would like to borrow (figures for an army, dice, etc.) let me know! If I can't get it for you personally I'm sure I can find someone who can.
Let me know if you can come so we can be prepared! Anyone is welcome - bring family and friends!

Spoiler Alert!
Insect Swarm! On a roll of 1-5, a swarm of stinging insects descends upon the land.
If your Hero was not engaged when it attempted to pick up the Treasure Glyph, move the affected Hero 3 spaces to an unoccupied space adjacent to a tree. The affected Hero takes no leaving engagement rolls and their turn ends. In the event that all eligible spaces are occupied, the affected Hero does not move and must roll 1 combat die for stinging damage. If a skull is rolled, the affected Hero receives 1 wound.

Bigga's FAQ
Spoiler Alert!
I'll be updating this list as questions are asked and as I think of things to add. It's just a list of questions I/other people often have about tournaments that I'd like to have in a place where anyone can find them, and where I can copy/paste for my future events.
Same-Sculpt Proxies: You can always proxy a figure of the same sculpt but different paint job (for example, you can use Nerak as a Swog Rider or a Swog Rider as Nerak). Just make sure that they're distinct from the rest of your army and that you have the correct card printed out for them.
On that note, you can also use same-squad-sculpt proxies. By this I mean figures like Samuel Brown can be proxied by any 4th Massachusetts Line squad figure, not just the one on the card. Same goes for Sir Hawthorne, Agent Skahen, etc. Again, just make sure that it is distinct from the rest of your army (put a sticker on the base or something) and that you have the correct card printed out.
Lastly, you can use same-sculpt DnD proxies. By this I mean that with the DnD waves the sculpts were taken from the DnD game. If you have the DnD mini you can use it as a HeroScape figure (so if you want to run the Firestorm build but don't have enough HeroScape fire elementals, you can use some DnD ones if you have them). Just make sure they are the same figure! And again, that you have the correct card printed out.
If you are going to use any proxies, it would always be good to let me know beforehand, so that if any issues arise I can say that I was made aware prior to the tournament and already ruled it acceptable. Also, if you have any questions about using other proxies that aren't same-sculpt or same-squad-sculpt, just PM me about it. I'm pretty lenient for the most part (won't allow anything ridiculous, but am lenient), and will probably just ask for pictures of the proxies you want to use and comparisons of them with other 'Scape figures.
In-Game Questions and Rulings: As the tournament director, if there are any questions that come up in-game that you would like a ruling, never hesitate to ask me! I'll be sure to be read up on the rules (and will probably have a rulebook with me just in case) and will be able to help provide direction. Even if I'm in a game, you can ask me and I'll pause the game. (Due to this, as potential in-game questions may prolong my own game, I will concede any games that I play that go to time if I had to pause the game at least once to answer a question. This will be done as a convenience for the person I'm playing and for their patience with potentially paused games.)
