New England Heroscape Master Thread

The first of two Store Championship events in New England will be occurring at TJs Cafe & Games on Saturday, May 10th in Milford, Massachusetts. The Store Championship is an officially-sponsored event! Check out the link below to sign-up and join us on Discord for all the details leading up to the event!

TJs Store Championship

In addition to prize support. I'm guessing a tourney that will involve as many as 6 states, will have 48 players (double the typical turnout) and take up most, if not all, of the available store space (pushing out the regular crowd for a day) may mean a bit more gets kicked to the store for their trouble.

48 players x $30 is $1,440. I believe the store kits are less than $100 each and even if a couple had to be purchased so all attendees could receive a set of plastic yellow order markers (production cost maybe a buck each) that's only $200. $1200 for store rental for a few hours is a lot of money. Or, as my dad used to say "highway robbery".

There will be ample prize support in addition to the officially-sponsored support from Renegade. Our organizer, Zackando, invites you to contact him for more information and questions. His phone number is on the event page.

I just PM'd him. Should be a simple explanation. Store cost + prize support + ? = $30 per person.
Just so anyone who is curious knows publicly, there will be at least 15$ in credit/prize support, 5 dollars in cafe credit, and the store champ prizes included as well.
I’m personally not the one setting prices for events, but that’s what’s covered in that entry fee.

I am not sure where you are getting these numbers, Dragon Ruler. Our April event had 28 players and our March event had a record 35 players (still reeling, wow!). We currently have 30 players registered for tomorrow's event; it's going to be a good one!

That said, I do have opinions on logistical factors and their affects on the community. I don't think this is the right moment for me to share them.

This will be our first time using the Battle Network. It's required for Store Championships and other Renegade-sponsored events. Hopefully it goes smoothly, it's been a learning process so far!

Good luck with that. It's apparently very inferior to .org which is not surprising given that Renegade tourneys are very inferior to fan run tourneys, Renegade designs (think lava craps) are very inferior to War Council and Hasbro designs, Renegade rules are very inferior to Hasbro rules and Renegade points are very inferior to Delta points.

The Store Championship in Mass today was a huge hit! Thanks to everybody who came out, helped organize (especially Dandelions for judging!) and congratulations to Niko for taking the win with Dwarves!

Lots of fun army diversity today. The top cores were Axegrinders, Queen Maladrix, and Frostclaws, with a top performing Phantom Knight build as well. The prize at me was the best we’ve ever had at TJs, thanks to many kind commissions and donations. We had several first-time attendees as well!

My photos are too large to upload. May post them later!

As promised, here are some photos shared from our Store Championship yesterday. Hope to see you at the next event!
