Movement question

Hi together,

I have a question about movement:

The rule say that "a figure cannot move through or onto a space that it cannot fit onto completely.

So a figure cant move through hexes if the base isnt complety on the hexes, right? So for e.g.If a figure's arms are to the side and the base doesn't fit on the hex because the hex next to it is higher and the arm is resting on it, so the figure is at an angle, it can't get through, right?

For example:

Heroscape Canyon

The "quenn" cant get through the canyon, right?

But what if the figure goes through friendly figures.

In the FAQ is written:

Normally figures must check to see if they fit on each space as they move. Flying figures are
an exception to this rule, in that they only check to see if they fit at the end of their move.
Another exception occurs when moving through other figures, whether they are friendly figures
or the moving figure has Phantom Walk. In these cases, fitting is not checked.

Some player are arguing that because of these a figure can go through passages over friendly figures where the mini itself could not go through because of its size - cause "fitting is not checked".

For example:

Heroscape - canyon movement 2

So the queen could move through the canyon because of the friendly minis "fitting is not checked"?

Is that right?

This seems like a loop hole in the rules and honestly, not a very fair idea. If a figure cannot go to a space, it should not be able to pass through figures just because they are friendly. Because that figure still cannot go through where the hexes are. I do not play tournaments and stuff, but for me, this seems like an underhand tactic to get around the rules. I'd almost consider it power gaming. I personally wouldn't allow it in games because if the friendly figures were still not there that figure still could not fit in that valley.

Just because you can go through a space where a friendly is, does not mean you can take up the same space a friendly figure is. If fitting is not checked rule didn't apply, then you could place a figure on the same space as another figure as long as it is friendly because 'fitting is not checked.'.
