Lord Hierarch - 3D Printed Custom Figures

WYIxCJ9.jpg
And we are back!

Capture.PNG
This model.

Some changes, still no playtest.

Bumped them up to 3. Seems most Commons are 3-4. Probably up the price to 60/75.

Changed Bull Charge a bit. Pieced it together from Gary's HS Site. What a godsend it is!

Beastmen is still a placeholder. But might make for its own interesting synergy.

The lore of these guys is the evil necromancer plucked their dying selves from Istvaan and other horrible sites and ensared them to fight for her. So they're unwilling pawns whose superhuman bodies and minds are actively resisting their master. Thus, Tormented and their 2nd Special Attack.

And now with some revision:

heroscape_custom___unique_squad___lunar_wolves_by_lord_hierarch_djjtnjd-fullview.jpg

Yes, the MRK is wrong, but its cooler looking.

Some of the changes made to reflect @Timerron's Space Marine Customs.

The difference in stats, IMO, reflects the difference in tech and time of summoning. I could make the stats closer to his stats, but eeeh. Variety in flavor :p.

Nice, but yeah variety is good. If I would change anything, the wording might be better if it was "gains 1 attack dice against non-humans"
Will do.

Next WIP: The Arbiter's.

uyqu1mO.png

Based the stats of Kyrie the Warrior.
The Arbiter, Ripa 'Moram'ee is supposed to be Unique. Oops.
To explain some of the technicals:

The Arbiter Ripa is still in service to the Covenant, so Zealot and Devout. Faithful would also fit.

Medium 5 is because the fig is about the same size as Marro Warlord, but they're leaning. Probably could be Medium 6, IDK. How do we judge sizes? From the model, or how tall they ought to be?

The Arbiter Thel is a major post-schism warlord after rebelling against the Covenant and killing its last leader. As the Arbiter, he is a symbol of inspiration and shame for his people and other Covenant factions. Thus Warlord and Inspiring.

Their stats are the same, except for ATK. Why? Because The Arbiter Ripa is a more ruthless warrior, so that's reflected there.

As for powers, The Arbiter Ripa is based off their Halo Wars powers. They're placeholders, but I'd like to reflect them in the game if possible.

Both have Phantom Walk as a reference to their suit's Active Camo.

Been browsing the customs for figs, and I found some more interesting Soulborg.

The Golden Centurion's. Gundamn Mini's.

Don't got them, but I do have Thingiverse and I found a new models that fit. Will have to reprint when my PLA gets here. ITS BEEN A WEEK!!!!

What makes this interesting to me is they were already playtested, and had some refinement.

Stil haven't painted any new figs. Been busy.

Q - is the scale of the figure appropriate?

Mechs.PNG

I printed as is since both are ~55mm tip to top, but I realize that because of the angle of the cannon. Take that away and the Mech is ~40mm. Should I resize based on that? To the DW9K's height?

Or is the scale difference fine?

And now more WIP's:

mxFm1oz.png

The Grunts! Everyone's favorite Unggoy.
The abilities/attacks are WIP. They're just copy-paste.

Base Grunt I want to be cheap and barely worth their cost.

Heavy Grunt got RPG's, basically. I should drop their health to 1 because while they're tougher than Grunts, I mean, they're still Grunts. Ya' know? But better range and attack, and I think should replace with DW9K's Special Attack "Range 7. Attack 3. Choose a figure to attack. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by the Explosion Special Attack. Deathwalker only needs a clear sight shot at the chosen figure. Roll 3 attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. Deathwalker can be affected by his own Explosion Special Attack."

Suicide Grunts, are Grunts, but suicide. Actually I think I bumped the Base Grunts a bit to make these Grunts cheap and worthless, except as suicide chargers.

Critique for this and preeceding units appreciated.

Change size to MEDIUM 6.

And now, the prototypes. Using Flash Conqueror STL.

Decided against the 2nd Ability. Might reuse for another Astartes figure.
Again, a reuse of the +1 to attack ability, but its a simple and easy ability.

This time, no need to stay together, the Thunder Warriors are independent men and don't need no battle brothers!

Decided to make their Range and DEF lower to reflect the older and inferior tech of their times. Compensated with a higher ATK.

Based the height of this thread on sizes. While imperfect, it does work well for a general rule of thumb, IMO.

Price might be bit low, but its a start, IMO. Lower than the Lunar Wolves, but also there's only 2 compared to 4.

EDIT: Thinking of dropping the WAIT THEN FIRE for something to do with that Power Claw (?). RANGE 1. ATTACK 9. IDK. Maybe a reskin of VYDARR'S HAMMER.

Since being summoned to Vahalla to fight in the greatest battle of all time, the Desert Rangers have proven their valor and bravery against the mad Archkyrie and his myriad of mad minions. But in this recent mission... they might've bit off more than than they could chew.

A troop of Thunder Warriors and their Centurion.
NCR's gonna wish for a nuclear winter.

Interesting thing on the Proto-Astartes paint job. The 2 on the left were painted first, with a base layer brown then yellow/sort of goldish color-mix atop. Apple Barrel plants. Red was justart red marker.

The far right was painted yellow marker, then I taped the red bits and sprayed the armor over with gold primer.

The middle 2 were sprayed with white/black primer, then the gold primer on top. The crestless one I dabbed some marker gold/dark yellow on it.

Really nice how they came out, IMO. Compare to my original.
