I’m not 100% on the new forum setup and posting from a phone, but could not find a sub-forum or thread for this.

I have just received the HR 2025 trees set, as well as an unexpected Shiori triple-miniature (I guess promo).

I can answer questions or post pictures after dinner. If this is in the wrong place or old news of interest to no one, feel free to delete.

I've been getting "this file is too large" messages posting from my phone, so I had to cut down quality to the late 1990s. Does anyone know the limits?

Anyway, seven pieces of Master Set grass and two sets of Laur's:

Yeah, Shiori is supposed to be a Launch Event promo, not part of a pre-order bonus
I guess they tossed one into early or large orders. Who knows, I might get a promo Drake with the Master Set!

At any rate, I'm very thankful about it, I wasn't looking forward to tracking down rogue promos (per my signature).

Nice! I just got my shipping notification from 401 Games today as well! I was not expecting to receive any promo figures, but fully anticipated needing to buy separately from Renegade. We will see what shows up.

You have very good odds, Myriadite. I just got my painted sets from 401 Games and got a second Shiori.

Awesome!
It must have been a random bonus; I received my prepainted Battle for the Wellspring and Grove at Laur's Edge yesterday, but no promo figures were included. I ordered this back in April, if that makes any difference. Regardless, I am pretty excited to try out some of the new stuff!

I’m sorry you didn’t get the promo.

Very impressed with pretty everything: sculpts, paint, miniature size, amount of terrain, etc. The new dragon was is massive and Raelin’s winged tiger looks fierce.

Battle for the Wellspring has two trees from Laur’s Edge that aren’t shown anywhere on the outer box (but are listed in contents). Likely a later addition after packaging photography.

White battle dice, per later Heroscape, but I have plenty of red and blue dice.

Bases are quite different: smaller, no stickers, usually painted brown, not usually separate pieces, and especially a lot more bendy, with many needing to be flattened with clamps and/or hot water.

Water tiles are a perfect match for the original release, with land terrain paint being a bit lighter and a bit more coverage, but in a subtle way that would add depth and not detract.

It does seem like sprue cut marks are a lot more obvious on the new sets.

Evil Raelin is being controller by Kee-Mo-Shi’a amulet. I really hope the then-six-year-old contest winner who came up with the Marro witch hears about this!

Photos, including classic HS comparisons, by request.

Looking at the issues mentioned by others:

Attaching a new 24-hex to a classic 24-hex (and detaching it) worked as expected. It’s aging plastic, taking apart FotA is scary as hell, too.

Assembling three Laur bushes like a 3-hex and setting them on top of a 24-hex does make them float. It it were non-HS terrain I feel everyone would rejoice at how perfect the (happenstance) fit is, but as official HS terrain it’s an actual issue on the scale of Transformers with bad tolerances — it should be retooled if they’re making another batch, but I wouldn’t expect anything to be done for the current batch.

Miniatures paint range from the better Icons of the Realms rares (rarely) to better than classic Master Set (often). Overall much better than I was expecting for the premium I paid.

It was nice assembling the new terrain without fear. Non-brittle plastic is a welcome change. I am also pleased with the paint quality of the battle box; no complaints here.

The trees / bushes not fitting on the hexes was noticeable but still playable; I will probably try to adjust those.

The battle box is a lot of fun by itself! They did a great job selecting the units to include and creating the scenarios. Tons of fun and good, close games.
