Doing prep work for possible organized play- Is it accurate that you can just win turn 1 on the map "wool"

The scenario states that if you end your turn on the banner then you win- couldn't frenzying units or iskra and the rechets or airborne elite just win this immediately? Also it says that a figure cannot move onto a space but couldn't sailing or emirroon teleport a unit onto it? Just wondering in preparation for if this scenario shows up since it seems to have some flaws.

As someone that has run a handful of events, I wouldn't recommend using Renegade's scenarios. That map works just fine for a typical 1v1 skirmish.

Do most events not use them? I mostly am trying to figure out what I am walking in to when I attend an event.

I have never heard of a scenario being run at an event.
There are a number of different formats that someone more knowledgeable could list and explain but that should be made clear well prior to the event.

Most events do not use scenarios like this. However Alex Davy one of the lead designers for Heroscape stated that this was something they were exploring for their organized play.

For the Gencon Wool scenario you are probably overlooking the extra start zone spots right next to the banners. These make it much harder to get a lucky win with Iskra/Frenzy/Airborne.
