Do the Microcorp get the water bonus on swamp water?

Since the Microcorp were from a time where there wasn't swamp water, do they still get the water bonus on swamp water?

It's technically SWAMP WATER, and not WATER, so I'd say no, even though the rules say to treat it as water. It's like saying, do my Microcorps benifit from standing on lava? Sorry if I was harsh but I say no.

GAAHLGHLAGYHDLFYHALGHTASDLTYHLGADHSL:GHBASDLTGLASDKGLADXLYALTGY!
READ THE RULEBOOK, GOSH DARN IT! READ IT, PLEASE! IT SAYS RIGHT THERE YOU CAN!

Where does it say they are from a time where there are no swamps anyway.

He means there was no swamp water in the game when they were released. :p

Also, Ullar rocks, I believe that is the definition of owned.

Of course they can use it, I mean they both have WATER in their names.
Swamp WATER

As was already stated -- the rules (page 14 of the SotM rule book) says that they do get their bonus on swamp water the same as they do on water. So, all the discussion about "water" in the name is meaningless.

Think of it this way. Swamp water is a type of water, so both regular water and swamp water count as "water" whenever "water" is mentioned on cards.

A lava field is a type of "field" whereas molten lava is a type of "lava", so they are in fact not the same thing.

Adjectives are wonderful for distinguishing different types of things. :)

WHile not Microcorp related, swamp-water is a bit confusing... it's water for the Microcorp, but not water for falling... or for moving. That is, you can move through water without stopping and you take falling damage if you fall into it.

It says all that in the rulebook too.

Kids, don't talk to strangers, eat your vegetables, and READ YOUR FREAKING RULEBOOKS!

You're disagreeing with what is explicitly outlined in the rules? A bold strategy.
I think it would take a politician running for public office to pull that off. <grin>

Okay then the real question is do abilities that specify "swamp water" work in regular water?
