Seriously. Glad everyone likes what I've done with this thread. I'm honored to be included in the 5ive and to be a part of such a great group of people/Heroscape fans! Now if I could just find some more time to do more customizing.
You deserve a 5ive of your own Grish.

Same to ya skynight! Sad to say Gencon isn't going to happen this year, even though I have the time blocked off. I went last year (first time in 10 years) and it cost me a ton of money (bringing a family of four, yikes!). Plus we really did not make that much in print sales to help offset the expense to justify going back, at least for a few years. The kids sort of had a good time but honestly, the highlight of the trip was when we stopped at Niagara Falls on the way home and rode The Maid of the Mist. And just the other day my 11 year old daughter said GenCon was really boring. I can't blame her, all she did was play Dance Dance Revolution in the kids room all day with girls half her age. And since the kids are out of school I can't do it alone unless I bring them (I'm a stay home, work out of the house dad), and then forget about playing anything. Even though both my children are gamers (I am trying to raise them right) I would still be stuck watching them.

Maybe I'll get back there when my seven year old son gets older and he can go off on his own and game without me watching over him. Then again when he's older he'll probably beat the s___ out of me in the Heroscape tournament.

You'll just have to have fun for me!

I'm sorry to hear that Grish. I was really looking forward to meeting you and (probably annoying you) talking about your old days of doing work for TSR.

I too have a seven year-old son. So maybe one day we can bring them both to Gencon and let them beat each others brains while we play a gentle game of "Please don't hurt me" on the hexes.

cycoduck is surprisingly tart
What, do we all have 7 year old sons? My son (definitely gonna be a gamer when he gets older, into all things 'Scape) is already learning how to beat me. I keep trying to convince my wife that all of the Heroscape stuff is his, along with all of the customs and everything. She knows it's for me, but she humors me.

Hey Grish, if the kids are the only problem we'll watch em for a couple days. My kids are the same age and I'm sure they'd love the company. We live about an hour from Indy and of course they could play all the scape they want. As long as you don't mind me putting them in to slave labor flocking my terrain.

Grish, I'm sorry you won't be attending GenCon this year. I was really hoping we'd finally get to play a game of Heroscape since the fates acted in concert against us last year. I'm still hoping this will happen one day.

Hey, WotC, SIZE MATTERS!
