Oh, yeah! I've got 1x Armoc Vipers I can loan to the cause. I know I've got 3x Venoc Vipers, I think I have 6x but I'll need to check tonight. I've got 1x Elite Onyx Vipers unless they get used in another army.

P.S. If you're willing to leave bright and early, I can pick you up. I was planning on stopping for a breakfast buffet in Tracy.

Breakfast buffet? Sign me up.

On armies.... since wave 15 is coming "real soon now"(tm), I'm putting off submitting armies until it is available. I want to make a death knights and skull demons army (I playtested them, and I really think that'll be fun), and a nicholas esenwein and thralls army, but I want to see the new thralls. Plus, something built around the new skeleton unit could also be worthwhile. But, until those guys are out, I won't know what the armies will contain exactly (since I know the points on the skull demons changed since I tested them). Oh, and because they're fun, I'm putting the vulcanimech incendiborgs in an army. I have no idea what else will be there, but it's coming. Just you wait.

Actually, just you watch, when the wave is released, I'm going to come in here and submit an army for each wave 15 unit. Be ready for it. (No, this is not cult of the new, I just figure this'll let people that wouldn't normally get to play these guys try them out if they want to).

Hrm, on that subject, I'm going to come back and submit some armies starring all of the wave 14 and released SoV figures, just to be silly. If they're not used, well, that's ok too.

Zombie fun:
Zombies x4
Zombie Hulk x2
Major Q10 OR Krav Maga Agents and Marro Warriors
Total: 510/(18 OR 23)

WTF? Werewolves and archers?:
Van Nessing
Werewolf Lord x2
Tagawa Samurai Archers x2
Total: 515/11

I think I'll save the rest of the wave 14 units for later, there's just two armies with them.

Re: Valley War II: Bidding War; Modesto, CA, July '12

Some long compiles occupying my day, so have some more c3v/sov armies:

Gorillas!:
Zaeus
Nakita Agents
Gorillanators x2
Ice Troll Berserker
Total: 515/11

Lizards!:
Zogross Hardscale
Greenscale Warriors x2
Nilfheim
Heirloom
Total: 515/10

Deathwalkers!:
Deathwalker 8000
Deathwalker 9000
Warden 816
Zettian Infantry x2
Dumutef Guard
Total: 515/11

Angels of Death:
Tyrian
Atlaga
Sentinels of Jandar x2
Concan
Otonashi
Total: 510/10

Now back to work. I think at least some of those would be fun additions to the pool. And yes, I picked basically the largest filler I could find once I had built the "core" of the army. Except the Dumutef, I thought that one was thematic.

On the subject of the Wave 14 units, I accidentally ordered an extra figure for Haduc. So I'd like to offer that into the prize pool: 1 Haduc unit with card.

Anything that you think would be fun to play is acceptable. Just don't be offended if an army you suggest sees a little workshopping. On the subject of which, I guess I'll get the ball rolling...

The three unique squads in this army all fufill much the same roles, and don't offer a lot of support to each other. They could probably use a little beef to help them out (maybe drop the EOV+FE for, dare I say it, rats?)

Considering that one of the ZI's main abilities is eating wounds they might do better at more than x2, if you're willing to axe a DW (unless you're focusing no their ability to be an OM sink, which is also quite valid ).

I think I like Krav+MW better here. The Krav offer a little better early game map control, and the MW work well for clean-up, instead of foisting both those roles onto Q10.

Anyone else have any thoughts on any of the armies posted so far?

Actually, I was really just thinking about the ZI as a OM sink. The ability to absorb a couple of wounds is nice, but since it only works for non-attack powers, it's more of a bonus then a key feature, IMO. I think being able to run the deathwalkers as 1 member of a 4 man squad is more important than avoiding a couple wounds from a non-attack power. Especially if no one proposes bringing a firestorm to this tourney.

I mostly agree. I was debating between the two, so I just put them both up there. And while q10 is pretty useful, you're probably right about KMA + MW being a slightly better choice.

Speaking of, I just thought of an unusual situation.... zombies vs marro (with hive, or dividers). Either or both of these matchups could be painfully long, given both armies have such a good ability to regenerate. I think I'm going to go play this matchup sometime, just to have some fun with it.

Oh, and I'll come up with some more armies later. When I have more time to process what I want to do with them.

Or what about Air Elementals? They will protect you're range-proof units from melee, while keeping the OM juggling in your original vision, and a nod towards your original filler.

@William099-Awesome! The more the merrier. I'll get your armies on the list this evening.

@personwholives-Copy, and copy. I'll leave the DW army, and I'll update the Zombies.

Well, it was originally conceived as an army using just units from the original Toys-R-Us version of the RotV (how I started in HS). The FE was my only concession (to bring the points up). I'm sure a better army could be built - I was just throwing it into the pool as a concept army.

I'll take care of the Haduc army for personwholives:

Wave 14 Elves
Ulginesh 150
Arkmer 50
Chardris 90
Haduc 100
Kyntela Gwyn 20
2x Warriors of Ashra 100
510/12

Would have preferred Jorhdawn or Morsbane in place of Chardris, but that put it over the limit.

I think you guys are over looking a few elements how about

Air Elemental x2
Earth Elemental x3
Fire Elemental x4
Water Elemental x3
Kurrok the Elementalist

515pts/13hex

this would be fun and competitive and good on all maps.
