BF & BF2 on PS2 were by far my favorite Starwars games. I played them a lot and had a ton of fun doing it. With all the recent success of other 1st person shooter games I can't believe they are not getting an updated version put out. I'm sure we will get some other Starwars themed game that doesn't actually play very well soon though.

He-he, I remember playing BF2 on my old PS2. Good fun, but I never got online that much. By far the most entertaining Star Wars video game to date. These days, it's mostly CoD, Assassins Creed, and Bioshock for me, but if they made a new one, I would sooooo buy it.

Mostly Halo and Gears for me, but if they made a new one, it would be all I ever played. I may have invested more time into BF2 than Gears 3, and considering I have online play for Gears 3, and can play with my friends whenever I want, that's pretty amazing. For months, it was the only videogame I ever touched.

I remember when my cousin came to visit from Virginia, we stayed up until 2:00am, playing heroscape and Battlefront. It seems fit that I mention that here.

Yeah I played Halo 3 once it was really fun. I played against my brother Utgarman and we had made a pact no alien veicle so I ran him over with the jeep.

What does this have to do with Battlefront 2? Nothing. If you want to discuss Halo 3, please do it in one of the many Halo 3 threads.

I surprisingly still have BF2, and I still play it from time to time on my PS2.
I love it. It really is a shame that BF3 isn't coming out. Could you imagine an amazing game like BF2 with modern day graphics? I would play that without end. The only problem I see is that there isn't really a storyline to go off of unless it's New Republic (after episode VI), Old Republic, or strictly Clone Wars battles off of the TV series. That would probably be the only ones to get a game off of them.

Me too, I think a "new" story would be great, set after the the second death star. Or way earlier. Plenty of lore exists in print for there to be plenty of sequels, it's no different than COD except there is way more to cover than there is in human history. A yuzon vong campaign would be very cool.

Honestly, I'd be happy with anything. They could not have a campaign and I'd be happy with the game. Obviously, having a campaign is preferable, but I don't think anyone here played Battlefront for its campaign.

Correct. I still play BF2 from time to time. If they did make a BF3 I would want them to combine all the maps from BF1 and BF2 together. That would be pretty cool.

I would also like it if both games combined the maps together. I really liked a lot of the maps for BF1 like both Rhen Vhar maps. Those were fun to play. I liked the harbor especially because I liked being able to go into the tunnels and rocket launcher everything that came into the tunnel.

I also would like it if they took the units from battlefront 2 and used them. The clone commander is IMHO the best unit apart from a hero to hold a choke point. If they combined both games together, it would be absolutely awesome. If you add a couple of new units here or there to freshen things up a bit, and use the same quality gaming from the first two games, you've got a very fun game both on and offline.
