What are the maps this year? Will they mostly be the same maps as last year? Will there be any dungeon/shadow maps? What's the glyph pool?

So 470 is the FINAL number? 6 rounds sounds sweet! Looking forward to my first TTO. Time to put an army together and start practicing, of course just like my fantasy football lineup that army will change 25 times between now and October 15th.

I think close to 60%-70% will be the same... I don't know how many new maps I built. The new maps will be ones used in other midwest tournaments ( DSM Double Down, Rochesters Gamers Reunion, Heoros ? in Burnsville ). There may even be some first time maps.

Jormi and I have not talked about glyphs but they will most likely be close or identical to the ones used at TTO VI.

Once the disc golf tournament is done this weekend I will spend more time on the Tree Town Open again.

Yes 470 is the number. You can always go to the first post as that gets updated as details get ironed out.

Unless we have a lot of no-shows we are basically at 6 rounds, and with a few more folks it is mathamatically possiable to do a 7 round. However if that would to happen only the two undefeted would battle to find the champion. Everyone else would get a placement based on PV (3 for a win and 1 for a loss, 2 for a tie... yes it has happened once!) then by PD.

As much as I'd LOVE to go 2-5 this year (), I think 7 rounds starts to get kinda late for the guys with long drives. Lets go with 6 and see what happens.

I don't pick how many rounds we go ... the attendance determines this.

No body will go 2-5. If you read the post again (see the bold underlined) you will see only the top two people would go a 7th round (and that is only if it is needed). If this were to happen they could pick there prizes first and then play to see who is champion while the rest of us do the prizes table and many may watch the championship if they wish. Eitherway the time should work out the same as the last few years. This is all speculation at this point we may have less than 64 people and then I know we would have no more than 6 rounds.

However since people always want to know how many rounds we are playing ... I say probably 6 and that is based on the numbers who say they are coming.

Any reasonably priced hotels in the Forest City area or to the South along I-35 or Highway 69. 6 hours driving from Kansas City with 10:00 AM start time would mean leaving at 3:30 AM.

We might also be interested in camping overnight at a park. We did that a couple of summers ago for the Beatrice tournament. Should'nt be too cold yet in the middle of October.

My greatest Heroscape mistake: Thinking that Heroscape was a $40 $400 game!

I think the Super 8 would be the most economical (located on the south part of town on HWY 69 ( Metcalf for you Kansas City folks ) We have a campground even closer. Pamel park is just east of Waldorf and downtown ( probalbly less than a mile ). It is $15 for electric. If you are tenting I was told it is FREE. To get to the campground enter off J-street entrance and follow the road you will run into the campground.

I looked, but could not see if the T-Shirt designs had been posted. Ben was asking about it.
