Re: Tree Town Open VII - IA, MN, NE, IL, SD, MO, WI

400? Are you insane?

I'm kidding . But I would prefer higher point armies. I think 400 point army games would be finished very quickly, too quickly .

Edit: I noticed that last year there was a lower and higher prize table, will that happen again this year too?

Not sure if I can come or not... But I'll put in some opinions anyway

I like 450 for a point total. However, mixing things up would be fun too. What about a format where we bring a fixed 300 point army and two 'side' 150 point armies. Before the game starts, you look at your opponent's fixed army and choose one of your two side armies to add to your main.

Any thoughts? I think that it might bring out some of the lesser used units that are good counterdrafts.

Gencon is doing 500 for both General Wars and the Championship so why not go with something low like 400 or 420?
If I do something other than 520 or 500, lower would be the way to go. Not sure I want to go to anything that low but 480 or 475 are numbers we have not played before and I think those should be in the running as well. Changing the point value obviously adds another element to playing the game.... I think we have come along way when many folks just played a 400 point army every day.

Yes, that is why I need a close approximation of how many warriors will be here to play HS on Oct 15th. I need to start getting the prizes lined up now. Keep an eye on the first page as I will continue to add prizes over the next few months.

The plan is for everone to get:
1. Tree Town Open VII T-shirt.
2. Trip to the lower prize table to pick out a common squad
3. Trip to the upper prize table to pick out a full booster pack or higher prize.
4. Any prizes left we will go around a second time in the order of finish until all the prizes are gone.

I like 480-475. I think it'd be fun to make some smaller armies.

I think 480 would be fun, but I would be fine with either.

Re: Tree Town Open VII - IA, MN, NE, IL, SD, MO, WI

Just checked my boy's school calendar. Since we started playing Heroscape we have always had a soccer tournament to play in the same weekend as the Tree Town Open.

BUT NOT THIS YEAR!!!!!

Finally, we are planning to come to the Tree Town Open. Two of us for sure and hopefully all four.

My greatest Heroscape mistake: Thinking that Heroscape was a $40 $400 game!

GREAT! better late than never .... too bad you missed some some of the previous TTOs, even with less product out there I am attempting to keep the prize table compatable with previous years... but it is more of a challenge this year.

Hope to see all or part of your family here in October.

Re: Tree Town Open VII - IA, MN, NE, IL, SD, MO, WI

Ok order just went in to HOUSE MOUSE .... I have enough product to take care of approx 60 at the lower prize table.... if we don't hit that number I can move some booster packs to the top prize table. Sorry we will not have the big assortment as in past years, as you are all aware.... about all that is out there is Wave 1, 11, & 12 .

If it looks like we will go over ( I will have to do some scambling )... if you think you are coming please go to:
http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ad.php?t=36663
and let me know what kind of numbers I am looking at... as this year the prize tables are more difficult to coordinate than in the past..... I need good estimate of the numbers early.

Package made it to Tree Town ... Opened it up everything is there.... PLUS Sandra threw in several additional Hero packs at NoCharge for our tornament prize tables ... THANK YOU ... HM is still supporting our tourney .... that is great

HOUSE MOUSE has been supporting the Tree Town Open for seveal years and this year is no exception even with Heroscape now out of production... Thank you again.
