DW8000 frustrating!!

I will agree that if you take Deathwalkers... you gambling from the get go.

With that said... I have actually had luck with Deathwalker 8ooo...

Especially against the 4th Mass!!!

Granted I had Raelin parked in the rear and DW8 on high ground...

but with a range 7 vs range 6 you should be able to get the matchups you want on the battlefield.

Even with out Rae and the High Ground... just park DW8 at range 7 and take as many rapid fire shots as you can. Defense 2 will not hold up (3 has more staying power with the all valiant bonus). If the 4th Mass want to take a shot, they have to advance and lose their wait then fire. Then you can take a step back and rapid fire again. I've wasted many 4th mass that way.

Which seems to happen more times than not. I just can't see spending the points on a 1-life figure. Way too much trust in the fickle dice-gods for my taste. And the dice-gods don't like me very much at all.

Agreed Q9's life makes him a better Soulborg, IMO.

I was going to start a new DW9K support group thread here,
and then I found this one already...

yeah, last night I gave ol' 9000 a chance, along with his guards...

Saylind summoned him to a mountaintop,
but my opponent's Theracus and Syvarris were already there, so...

Saylind attacked Syv...and left Syv with only 1 life and it was my DW9000
turn next...

So then my opponent, sure that his Syv was dead anyway, decided to take
a chance at disengage, and suceeded without injury.
Syvarris then shot the DW with a hit of 1....

and you all know the rest of the story.
