Re: Custom Reviews
My favorite is still Toad... it's tough to express that in words, though. I'll try.
A SONNET FOR TOAD Shall I compare Toad to a summer's day? You're far more useful, though he's also gross. When Angel's up for draft - "Useless!" they say; But fair Toad's Tongue brings friends and foes so close. Your Stealth Leap's fun and flavor both do shine, Even if your swift move of six is dimm'd. Though Flying is no power I'd decline, So many Fly. Stealth Leaping's fun's untrimm'd: And when the burns of Phlegm on Deadpool fade The debt to your attacks I will still owest; And when you sit in other Mutants' shade, My love for squishy, jumpy Brothers growest: So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, I stand in awe of the design of thee. Re: Custom Reviews
*sniff* I'm crying a little ...
On another note, I think Toad's going to get a big boost in December. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Custom Reviews
On second thought, maybe we need more negative reviews.

Re: Custom Reviews
What's the C3G future release schedule look like again? The Promo thread doesn't have it anymore.
(Actually, it would probably be better if you posted it there instead of here.) |

And we've got a couple pieces left to add to it as well.

Re: Custom Reviews
So I've been thinking it over and my top 5 favorite C3G designs are:
1) Wolverine, perfect thing, I can't think of anything to improve him at all. 2) Hal Jordan, great start to the Lantern Corps. 3) Flash, because he's just so darned fun. 4) Hawkman/girl, they are so much fun together and apart. 5) Mr. Mxyzptlk, innovative design and he's just darned fun! Honorable mention (other units I think of first when I draft in no particular order): SHIELD Agents, Ultron, Kang, Dr. Strange, Jean Grey, Punisher, Quicksilver, Super Skrull, Doctor Doom, Captain Marvel, Toad, Bullseye, and Hawkmen of Thanagar. My 5 least favorites: 1) Superman, he's alright, but he only really enbodies Superman's altruism, not his powers and I don't care to play him. Can't wait for the new one me and Griff brainstormed. 2) Bob, he just costs too much. He should only be 15 points to work better with Deadpool. 3) Batman, I can't ever get him to land his Evasive Strike rolls. 4) Penguin, he may be thematic, but Self Importance really aggravates me. 5) SHEILD Spotter. She's alright, but she's ONLY draftable with the Snipers and is rarely worth an OM. Welcome to C3G | C3G Playtesting Sign Up | C3G Books of Index

Re: Custom Reviews
Here is the figure I think I most disagree with:
![]() 1st: 235 Points? Swamp Thing is typically depicted much above the Super Man/Thor Level in comics. He has easily taken down Pre Crisis SuperMan. In terms of strength he is closer to Odin at least (Can Time Travel, Steal Souls, and has an uber amount of crazy abilities). 2nd: Cut down to size? 3 attack for an Odin or above power character is unbelievably low. 3rd: Swamp Thing is 1 of the most unkillable characters in DCU and is likely his most famous power/ability. Swamp Thing is more difficult to permanently put down than Doomsday or Grundy yet has no resurrection power. |

Re: Custom Reviews
I LDed Swamp Thing as he appeared in the original comic run.
A modern take would be much different, maybe even an event hero. |
