Actually, since Shurrak takes some offensive pressue off the fires, maybe a mixed army would be more effective:

Fire and Ice? I don't think you'll be able to compete with ranged squads, but there's always something like this:

Shurrak - 160

I wouldn't suggest it unless you're on a snow map and against something that doesn't consist of many ranged squaddies. It would be fun to knock something into 2 walls of Ice Spikes, though.
