I should clarify my remarks a tiny bit - I guess I can't say I actively discourage them from playing (should have worded that portion of my original post a bit better) or getting started but I strongly warn them that IF they would like to have all the options available to them, it'll cost a pretty big fortune to do so and some luck to even find some of the figures.

I should have also made it clear that I tend to discourage the completist-style players more strongly than a casual fan who can certainly just treat HeroScape as a casual board game (though that leaves out a large chunk of the army-building aspect and depth).

It is, probably, unrealistic to expect a company to keep stuff in stock but I could just as easily argue that it's unrealistic for them to expect to garner large amount of new fans to the game, either, in light of an inability to keep key figures and Waves in stock. Some units are extremely useful for their synergistic aspects and to not have access to those figures really hurts particular army builds and so forth.

However, one tiny positive about the game is that you don't really need to own everything IF you have a friend who owns a bunch of stuff you can always borrow his figs while playing with him or if you attend a tournament or something.

You can also proxy too - that's probably the route I'd suggest most players go. Just print up your own cards and use whatever minis you'd like to use. So I'm not suggesting that it's a problem with no solutions, by any means, I just think that it's a bit of a bummer that WotC doesn't seem to have much interest in providing for reprint needs (but again, not unexpected, either, based on their history with other games).

I'm looking for Eye of Judgment cards (from the PS3 game) - anyone here have any to part with?

I feel bad for doing this, But Proxy is the only way at this point some of us CAN play. I've been picking up pieces here and there trying to build up enough stuff to play Tourney standards, But trying to get your hands on some of the pieces is next to imposible or highily improvible. When I saw a set of Yari/Haq go for almost as much as a Marvel Master Set, it kinda dashed my hopes of Ever having the 3 squads of each that I wanted. And don't even mention the Lava and Ice sets or Flag Bearers.

So in order to use this game to the fullest I've used alot of Heroquest and Warhammer figs durring game nights, but I still long for the day that a true set of Yari march forward for the honour of Einar under my command. That's my 10-yen coin on the topic, now back to the trade thread.

Oh and PS... WotC Please Reprint the stuff, Heroscape was supposed to be a game we all could play, not a collectible clusterfrack like Magic or D&D mini game.

elltrain is an excellent guy to trade with. He was patient while I assembled his stuff and was an extremely fast payer when I sent the invoice. He also was very generous, paying a bit extra for my time. If you ever have the option of dealing with elltrain in the future, the choice is a no-brainer.

I'm in need of three 7-hex asphalt pieces and 1 warehouse ruin (with base) from the Marvel set.
(Yes, odd needs, I know, but it's all I'm missing from an otherwise-complete MS)

I have Wave 1, 9, and D1 Hero packs, as well as debased RotV figures (if anyone is interested in their parts for customs, such as Soundwarp SG-1 does). I also have tons of extra dice, as well as very good condition rulebooks from every set except SotM, and possibly TT.
