Yes we can. And we are. And if The BIV doesn't like it, he can go away instead of attempting to discourage us with his pessimism.

I come to heroscapers to have fun and talk about the game, and if there's a chance this thread brings it back, I'm going to support this. I DON'T come to heroscapers so people can be condescending and rude to hundreds of their peers, and genuinely make me angry.

Well I started this thread because I could either do this or pout and do nothing. I don't know if it can or will help but I feel like I should put forth some kind of effort.

It sounds silly to talk about things like closure and such when dealing with a board game, but this was more than just a game to a lot of us. When it was cancelled there were feelings of frustration and helplesness. Posting in this thread can give a sense that you at least tried a little. That can help turn those negative felings into hope.

This thread is as much for the people who posted in it as it is for Hasbro. Its a place where you can stand up and say "I care."

Fair enough. And I signed on early on. And yeah, it was cool back then. It did kind of offer a little closure, helped let off some steam. It's just that as time goes on, and I get pinged every time someone signs on, it just seems less and less relevant...I'm like: "People are still signing that? Do they realize how long ago 'Scape officially died? I dunno. Maybe I just need to unsubscribe...sorry to be a downer...

Work on customs, or maps, or online HeroSkype, or something.
Tens and hundreds of thousands of signatures are what's needed, and they don't exist. Stop wishing for the heavens to return the game.

I think I signed a long time ago, but I was wondering if someone could direct me to a link or just summarize what exactly happened- the game seemed of such high quality and popularity...why did they discontinue it?

They discontinued it because it wasn't making enough money. While it is very popular with the people who play it, not enough people play it. I think WotC has actually made more money since it discontinued 'Scape...
