Any fan of the middle ages will know that it was a time of great culinary advancement. But I'm putting the cart before the horse...
They say that warfare is the grandfather of invention. (or something like that) People are always searching for more ways to hurt each other, and so they devote their energies to developing more creative and unusual hideousnessís designed to destroy our fellow humans. One such nasty development is the ever-popular boiling oil.
Everybody knows that you couldn't be a somebody unless you had a castle or fortification of some kind. And everybody else knows that in order to become a somebody or to just get really neat stuff you had to break into someone else's castle- and so the age of siege tourism was born.
